About

Globally, half of all people who need insulin face challenges accessing it.

A solid understanding of the causes of insulin access barriers is needed to address inequities and inefficiencies in the global insulin market. A global study, called ‘Addressing the Challenge and Constraints of Insulin Sources and Supply’ (ACCISS), sets out to do this and more.

This toolkit builds on three years of evidence gathering by the Study. It equips you with tools to inform and guide your interventions to improve access to safe, effective, affordable and quality-assured insulin.

ACCISS is co-led by Health Action International, University of Geneva and Boston University. The study is guided by an Advisory Group that brings together a unique group of leading international experts.

ACCISS is funded by The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, and Stichting ICF.

Please help us improve our toolkit! This online toolkit is in its pilot phase and your feedback can help to greatly improve our tools.  Please email us with your comments about specific tools, or provide suggestions about other tools we can add.  Contact us at acciss3@haiweb.org.
